STRONGER THAN YOU THINK

There are days in life when you are worn thin and feel like you have reached your limit – physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  When life’s outside pressure weighs heavy and the inside feels like you are running on empty; do you silently wonder, “Can I keep going on like this?”  Well, I have good news for you!!  God’s Word answers that question with a resounding YES!  You really can keep on keeping on because God’s strength is in you!  The prayer in Ephesians 3:16 (NLT) is exactly what you need:

 I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources

He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit.

This inner strength isn’t talking about “digging deep emotionally” or pulling from pure adrenalin.  This power doesn’t come by willpower or effort either.  It’s about drawing from the supernatural strength that comes from the Holy Spirit living within you.  This is the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead (Romans 8:11).  He is working in your inner being to strengthen you, uphold you, and empower you by the unlimited, inexhaustible, glorious riches of God's provision!!

If you could grasp that the depth of God’s limitless resources, strength, and explosive power are available to you, it will change your life.  You will never be the same, especially when you are trying stand firm against life’s challenges.  You don’t have to pretend you’re okay when you’re not.  If you feel like there is “not enough in the tank” to get you through, remember the Lord’s promise: “My strength is made perfect in weakness”. You will gladly boast about your weaknesses, so that Christ’s power will work through you. (2 Corinthians 12:9).  God also promises "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isaiah 40:29 NIV).

Now realize when you are weak, you are in the perfect position for God’s strength to rest upon your life.  Your weakness will not disqualify you – it invites God’s power to move through you.  Just think, the weaker you get, the stronger you become.  This strength is the dunamis power from God.  You don’t have to fake it. You don’t have to force it.  Ask for God to unveil it to you.  May this be your prayer:

Father, thank You for the limitless riches of Your glory.  Strengthen me today with Your mighty power in my inner being by Your Holy Spirit.  Let me be grounded in You—not shaken by life’s storms but rooted in Your presence within me.  Help me to rely on Your strength, not my own.  Let my spirit be strong by Your presence within me and may Your power find its full expression through my weakness.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Ask for God’s divine strength.  Believe that when He says He’ll strengthen you, He means it!  You might not feel strong, but you’re filled with the Spirit of the living God.  And because of that…
