MIRACLES ARE FOR YOU

          The night was dark and stormy.  A heavy shower of rain quickly covered the asphalt with an inch of water.  Standing on the top railing of the auto transport truck ten feet up in the air, I suddenly lost my balance and fell straight backwards; like the “ice tea plunge”.   Miraculously, I did not hit the ground but was caught by an angel of the Lord gently laid me on the asphalt.  Here I am lying flat on my back and as the cool water soaked my clothes, I came to realize what had just happened.  I had experienced a miracle and none of my co-workers were close enough to witness it.

            Miracles by definition are amazing and extraordinary events that appear to be contrary to the laws of nature and are regarded as acts of God.  They are supernatural manifestations of divine power that reveal the presence and power of God.  Anytime a miracle occurs it raises interest, awe, and marvel in the eyes and minds of people.  (I know I sure marveled at what happened to me!).  The purpose of a miracle therefore, is to display the power of God to the person who needs one and to be a witness to the unbeliever to lead them to salvation (John 20:30). 

God is limitless in His love, power and ability to do signs, wonders, and miracles.  He is always ready and willing to do these amazing mighty works in your life.  You also need to understand that miracles are not some mystical, “spooky”, only-to-special-people types of events.  Granted, sometimes they are unexpected, but when the circumstances or situations in life have brought you to a point of needing one – there is good news.  God is still in the miracle-working business and there is a miracle waiting to happen for you! 

          So, if you know you are in need of a miracle, God not only wants you to have it, but also wants you to understand exactly how to receive the miracle you need.  Here are three ways to help you:

MIRACLES ARE FOR TODAY

First of all, you must believe that miracles are for today.  Miracles have no time boundaries, historical limitations, nor were they intended for just the Jews.  Jesus preached the same message everywhere He went:

Luke 4:18-19: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." 

That anointing refers to the burden-removing, yoke destroying power of God (Isaiah 10:27).  Since Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), He is anointed to tell you today the same message: “I am here with God’s anointing to remove ALL your burdens and ALL your yokes.  You don’t have to be broke, busted, in bondage, blind, or battered, sick, sad, or sorry any longer - I am here to set you free.”  If you are having problems with miracles for today, discover for yourself the goodness of God.  Ask me or ask others to testify of their miracles.  Watch the 700 Club daily.  You can even Google, “100,000 stories to prove Miracles are for real”.  Then, if there’s a question that still lingers in your heart, here’s your answer - Yes, miracles are for today!

MIRACLES ARE A CHOICE

It takes a choice to have a miracle happen or take place.  Miracles are a gift. Miracles are a promise. Miracles are something we need and cannot do for ourselves.  However, as far as you are concerned, Jesus has already made a choice.  He has chosen you!  He has chosen to love you, redeem you and heal you.  He has chosen to make his burden removing, yoke destroying anointing available to you.  Now, the choice is all yours. 

God said in Deuteronomy 30:19: "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, that you and your descendants might live!”

When you choose to believe in the anointing on Jesus, His power releases that same anointing in your life.  You can believe for the impossible.  Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." (Mark 9:23).  The bottom line is - believing, trusting, accepting, following, and living for Jesus is a CHOICE.  Once you have heard the Good News of Jesus, the Christ (the Anointed One and His Anointing), receiving your miracle is up to you. You can do this!

   You have the privilege of CHOOSING salvation.  

   You have the privilege of CHOOSING to follow Jesus. 

   You have the privilege of CHOOSING to obey His words.

   You have the privilege of CHOOSING to be faithful.

   You have the privilege of CHOOSING to come to Him in prayer.

   You have the privilege of CHOOSING a miracle.

Miracles are a choice.  Do you need a miracle in your life?

MIRACLES ARE FOR YOU!

I have experienced numerous miracles in my life and I can tell you firsthand that miracles are just as relevant for you as they are for me.  God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34).  He performs miracles in the lives of others.  He is willing, able, and waiting to perform miracles in yours too.  Realize that miracles can come in any area of your life where there is a need for God’s supernatural provision. 

It doesn’t matter if it is physical, financial, emotional, relational, or spiritual.  It doesn’t matter the size of the need either.  I know people that needed a miracle to desperately pay a bill and God supernaturally provided.  I was inspired to write this study because I had just talked to a friend of mine, who was given a diagnosis of stage four pancreatic cancer and less than 30 days to live.  Nine years later, he is now living cancer free!  What is impossible with man, anything from paying a bill to being healed of cancer, with God all things are possible! (Matthew 19:26).

Jesus loves you. That never changes.  Neither does His promises to perform miracles in your life today.  So, make the choice to believe the impossible, receive the miraculous because it’s all possible.  Best of all Jesus did miracles for everyone who reached out to Him in faith (Luke 6:19), Put your trust in Jesus so you can be completely confident that MIRACLES ARE FOR YOU!
