VICTORIOUS POWER OF FAITH

It was the bottom of the 18th inning of Game 3 of the 2025 World Series between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers.  Freddie Freeman comes up to bat and powers a solo home run to win the game 6-5.  The crowd of over 52,000 of mostly Dodger fans, erupts with a thunderous shout of cheer and celebration for the long, hard-fought victory.  Although it was almost midnight, the majority of the sold-out crowd had remained at Dodger Stadium to witness this historic game.

It is always enjoyable to celebrate a victory of your favorite team, but it is much more fulfilling to experience a personal victory.  However, it was this exciting win for my favorite baseball team that God used to reveal some amazing truths of how the power of faith can bring victory in my life.  I would like to share them with you and my hope is that they minister to you as much as they ministered to me.

You have probably heard the saying, “The thrill of the victory”.  Well, it is absolutely thrilling to know that the principle of victory abides in every born-again believer.  Because of your faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you can overcome every challenge, circumstance, and catastrophe.  Jesus got the ultimate victory over sin, death, hell, and the grave.  There is no greater victory in the history of mankind.  Jesus has never lost a battle and He never will.  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 AMPC).  You will have battles in life, but know that you can never have a victory unless there is first a battle.

The power of faith will give you strength and endurance to continue, until you get past any conflict or test and achieve success.  (No matter how many extra innings it takes).  Whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy.  For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.  So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything. (James 1:2-4 NLT).  Faith gets tested by trials – but more importantly, faith grows stronger through them.

Faith also grows by hearing the Word of God. (Romans 10:17).  The good news is when you stay in line with the Word; you have the promise of victory of overcoming the world!  You see, every child of God overcomes the world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world. (1 John 5:4 TPT).  I really like this scripture because the word for victory in the Greek is the word nike.  So, let every shoe, shirt, or sporting good that has the logo or the name remind you no matter what comes against you in life, by faith - YOU HAVE THE VICTORY!

Faith is the key to your life of victory.  Be encouraged as a believer in the finished work of Jesus that you have the principle of victory abiding in you, the power of faith continuing with you, and the promise of victory reminding you of your personal VICTORIOUS POWER OF FAITH.
