Be A Friend

Many people may walk through our lives, but true friends will leave footprints on our hearts.  It is such a joy to have friends for friendship sharpens us (Proverbs 27:17).  Friendship doubles our joy and divides our sorrows.  We all need friends to be there to listen, to care and to offer help when we need it – in good times and bad. If you find yourself wishing that you could have a friend, then why not seek to become one to someone else.  Ask God to reveal that person to you and take the challenge to be a friend.   To help you know what it is to be a friend, here is the A-Z of friendship.

Accepts you as you are

Believes in you

Calls you just to say “Hi”

Does not give up on you

Encourages you

Forgives your mistakes

Gives unconditionally

Helps you

Invites you over

Just be with you – pays attention

Keeps you close at heart

Loves you for who you are

Makes a difference in your life

Never judges you

Offers support and counsel

Prays for you

Quiets your fears

Respects you

Stands by you

Tells you the truth when you need to hear it

Understands you

Values you

Walks beside you in good times and bad

Xplains things you do not understand

Yells when you won’t listen

Zaps you back to reality
